Dogs are not what they seem

Nothing really is.

Yesterday, I went for a stroll in the Amazon Rainforest. While I’d done this every day this month, this time was different. I was now in the company of a canine companion. Catalina is one of the extraordinary beings living at the Blue Morpho Elite Training Center — an epicenter of evolved understanding and embodiment.

As we navigated the muddy path, she trotted along smiling ear-to-ear. We completed the loop, and she followed me all the way back to my bungalow, laying her head down just outside the door. She remained there for hours, behavior that the lodge manager curiously remarked he had never seen.

That evening, I strolled past the poolside on my way to our weekly ceremony. Across the sun-worn deck, I could see Catalina watching each soul slowly enter the temple doors. Insects saturated the air with an emphatic song as the ceremony commenced, but as the night unfolded, a new note pierced through the trees. Outside, Catalina began howling. And howling. And howling.

Energy began swirling deep inside of me, and I contributed to the jungle chorus with my own chords of vomiting. And vomiting. And vomiting some more. With each release, I could feel the discordant patterns leaving my body — the judgments, fears, self-consciousness. Like an overly tightened guitar string being brought into tune, a feeling of rightness filled every fiber of my being. In my heart, I knew who had helped invoke this healing. There was an undeniable connection.

As I realized this, I caught a case of the cosmic giggles, which turned into the cosmic jiggles, because within that moment I remembered the core insight of Reality:

There was only God in the whole story.
